Elizabeth Bathory I

This is the first of the Bathory series. First stage of Elizabeth's transformation. Her vanity, and concept of eternal youth. In this piece she is young and beautiful, lavished in rich attire but the glimpse of what will follow is foreshadowed by the screaming angel on her shoulder. The rings under her dress represent the distance in her married life.
